Blame Joe Quesada for Spider-Man erasing his marriage. Quesada was going through a divorce and was feeling terribly bitter towards his wife and women as a whole, so he wrote Spider-Man back into the life he originally had, and pretty much every faithful reader of Spider-Man agreed that it was one of the worst decisions he had ever made. If you don't know, Joe Quesada was/is the writer of Spider-Man and other marvel properties.

We'll see. They've already set the framework for Winter Soldier to replace Cap, as he did in the comics. The Civil War is confirmed in the lineup of films set for the next five years, its Cap vs Iron man. All roads lead to the death of Captain America. Nothing says Cap has to stay dead, since he didn't stay dead in the comics either, even with how much of a big deal it seemed to be at the time. I predict Cap will be dead for at least two movies.

Last I checked, Chris Evans' & RDJ's contracts are almost up.
Unless I missed something, their time in the MCU is almost up.

I don't assume. After all that mixes up the movie line orders by the series. Which distracts viewers which also pulls the franchise down. Plus they don't actually completely go by the comics. I don't read the comics but it said so in extras in their films. C:

It doesn't completely follow storylines in the comics, but the major events in the films are straight from the comics, executed and updated perfectly, aside from The Not-Mandarin in Iron Man 3, that's the only part of the entire franchise that went against the comics completely, to me. I wouldn't say the films are out-of-order, the only one that is really out of order is Captain America, since that's technically the first in the series, but without the other movies working behind it, many of the elements would be out of nowhere and would seem strange in a WW2 period piece, but thanks to the movies before it, the strange elements in Captain America, like the tesseract, the energy weapons, the mentions of Yggdrasil, and of course, the original super soldier serum.
All in all, I can't think of an instance, aside from the Not-Mandarin in Iron Man 3, that was completely different from the comics. Hell, some scenes are straight-up copies of certain comic panels, recreated perfectly. Now, some people will say that Tony Stark is completely different from the comics, he's definately not like Robert Downey Jr. in the comics, or wasn't when I read them, but I prefer the film version. Since there are no other movies with The Avengers after Civil War, save for Thor: Ragnarok, until the Infinity War, Captain America could be dead the entire time between films, which is two years, leading into Bucky being Cap for Infinity War 1 and Steve coming back for Infinity War 2, or in-between the two films. Either way, I'm looking forward to watching every single one of them, moreso now that they've got Spider-Man back in the lineup where he belongs.

I misunderstood your previous comment, I get it now. Thing is, heroes die all the time in the comics, though they don't often stay dead. Steve was shot several times by a brainwashed black widow, and then again in the back by Batroc a character that was in the Winter Soldier film. Steve remained dead for a while, got Marvel a lot of press and publicity over killing Captain America, bucky replaces him as Captain America with a different costume, mostly black, Red Skull showed up after years of nothing from him, got his mind stuck in Cap's body somehow, so Red Skull was controlling Steve's body while Steve was somewhere in time or something, didn't read too much when that happened. Eventually, Steve got his body back and became captain america again, so my point was, even if he does die, which he probably will, he comes right back, and they have a stand-in Cap with Bucky. They teased that in the Winter Soldier when Bucky took Cap's shield from him and did the pose with it, I liked that quite a lot. Death in comicbook land is a revolving door, it goes both ways.

Yeah, I saw the film, so I know all that. by the way, the entire end sequence with Bucky saving cap from the river is panel-for-panel from the comics, happened the exact same way. What my previous comment was referring to was how Cap died in the comics, not the films. They've got all the characters from the comics involved with his death in the films, so it's a good possibility that the events from the comics that I mentioned before will happen, in one form or another.

That's Bucky, as Cap, after Steve was killed.

Captain America surrendered at the end of the Civil War storyline, realizing that their infighting was harming all the people he had sworn to protect. On the way to Caps trial, on the stairs of the courthouse, with Cap in handcuffs, He spots a red dot on the back of someone in front of him. Cap shoves them out of the way and gets shot in the back, and then a hypnotized Black Widow, I believe, I may have the wrong person there, been a bit since I've read the books, anyway, a hypnotized woman then shoots him in the stomach a few times for good measure.
Eventually, The Red Skull hijacks Cap's body and takes it for himself, coming back to life in Captain America's body. I'm not sure where things went from there, kinda lost interest after the bodysnatcher story.

Marvel's Civil War storyline involved the Superhero Registration Act, supported by Iron Man and several others, which would force all heroes to register with the government, as well as revealing their identities..
Captain America disagreed with this idea, so he left the service of the government and went underground, along with the rest of the heroes that didn't want to register.
Eventually, the two groups begin fighting in the streets, leading to dead or injured civilians, which caused Captain America to surrender and die.

As did I during The Avengers movie, but those were tears of awesome, not sadness. I'm hoping The Sequel will involve the Civil War story arc, ending with the death of Captain America, and the return of the Red Skull.

Despite all the bad things people say about Tony during the Civil War, that he was a traitor, he backstabbed and manipulated his friends, that he spat on the rights of all heroes. In truth, the whole thing was eating him from the inside out, and everything kept going from bad to worse whenever he tried to fix things.
I think the moment that things really went to hell was when he, Pym and Richards made that Thor Clone that killed Goliath, thats when both sides no longer trusted eachother anymore.
I'm just happy after Dark Reign that Tony redeems himself to his friends.

I can't tell if you mean that as an insult or not, so... if it is, have you never seen the shield? Its not flat, so the star wouldn't be straight from a top-down view.
