No, I'm talking about the inking drying inside the pen. When that happens thicker ink will come out first because the ink near the pen tip is drier than the rest of the ink held inside. When the thicker ink is used up then the ink color become lighter and more watery which is prone to smudging.

It all depends on where you live, in Los Angeles the air is quite dry and it will make the pen dry faster. Sometimes I have to mix anti-drying solution into the paint to slow down the drying process which makes the colors blend better. I'm not sure how wet the air is in China but it could be much different from where I live.

I'm... not quite sure as well X'D recently the weather is really extreme, sometimes it gets really really hot and sometimes it rain heavily >m<; I guess it is affected by a lot of things so I gotta experiment or I'll never know :P
