That's an interesting way to position the fingers. I couldn't do that unless I tried.
A great piece! Funny and creative at the same time. The Catholic side of me wants to be mad, but it's impossible to get offended by the Muppets.

I think I got a good chuckle from seeing some works on this site depicting (I may be wrong here to some degree) Christ and certainly I think David (that is by Michaelangelo) and other sculptures of a similar natureΒ in Levi pants and t-shirt.Β Or what about some parodies of the last supper?Β One of my favorites I think is one involving Star Wars.Β To me, this is in good taste.

What I never understood was why Byzantine through to Renaissance artists seemed to think that humans could contort their hands in such un-humanly ways.
Along with the immaculate conception, I suppose mary was gifted double-jointedness.
