Daliah and Daxlin from Blackhand, PvE.This was supposed to be an Anniversary type gift to themselves. (No watermark this time since it covered up the priest's face, and I would rather show that off this time than hide it.) However, I fail, and I'm super slow. Regardless, I am quite pleased with how this came out. There's stuff I would like to have turned out differently, but a lot of that is pretty minor compared to the overall finished product.
Random side note: The new Naxx tiers can go to hell for the retarded level of detail Blizzard decided to add to them.
Created completely in Photoshop CS.
Sketching: 5? hours
Background: 5? hours
Coloring: I have absolutely no idea, but I'll hazard that I did at least 30 hours.

Sadly, it's only going to get worse from here, I would imagine. As the game goes on, the gear will get more and more detailed. Well, at some point it'll cap, but I have a feeling we're not there yet.

I wouldn't necessarily say that. There's still means of being creative without going overboard on loops and lines all over the damn place. I mean come on, does the new Bonescythe set really need all those extra frills all over?
Maybe I'm just old, but I really prefer the old Naxx sets to the new ones. Some of the excess detial is just too much.

I think the reason why the sets are more detailed is... well, for one, the game has more powerful graphics now. Perhaps that was how it was intended to look before, but the game just couldn't do it before.
Either that or it's because they still want it to look like T3 without it being exactly T3 (Some people still carry T3 around).
I could care less, to be honest. I think T6 is the best a shaman can get, so...
