That's right, Colorado aspen (although they do look like truffula trees in this shot).

Did you know all those trees are a single plant? Amazing tree, the aspen. The largest single organism on the planet is an aspen grove somewhere in Utah that covers 106 acres.

I knew they're the biggest organism, but didn't know about the actual site - very interesting. The powder on the bark makes a decent emergency sunscreen.

Did not know that about the sunscreen. The largest grove here in WA State is about 45 miles east of where I live...but it is only 6 acres.

I heard the biggest organism is a Armillaria Ostoyae in Oregon (A big underground fungus) that is 2,384 acres o.O Either way, I did not know that aspen trees were one big organism! Very cool indeed.
