wow so these are etchings. how did you get taht solid white in one area? i take it you just lef it untouched and aquatinted the background?

yeah. the only place i actually etched with the aquatint is the "sky". the shading on the rest is either a hatched line etch or just underwiped in printing. so, the white areas were just wiped cleaner.

oohh i see , my teacher didnt want us every to underwipe , we were supposed to get all of our values out of the etching. but i really like it alot.
