You know, I always did like Harvest Moon, in theory. The art's nice, or at least it was before it went all super-pale on me, and the IDEA of running your own place and marrying some cute town girl is what spawned Your Warmth in the first place, but the games themselves always seem to leave something to be desired. Like, say, more free time than the average adult has.Also the games always break in the most spectacular and frustrating ways. Like how in one of the DS versions there's a girl you can never marry because they miscoded something during translation. Fun times! Not to mention how easy it is to eat whatever you're holding by accident, or how missing the trash can causes the entire town to hate you, or how giving a carrot to a cowboy somehow causes him to drop an entire heart level.
And let's not get into sunshine and water levels affecting crops in some of these games.
ANYWAY, back to the beginning. I like the art. Chelsea, of the Islands series of games/fixed games, is pretty damn cute. I need to draw a lot of her soon.
Also maybe the Witch Princess, for the same reasons.

This is a wonderful picture!!!!! I just love how you have her riding her huge cow and how you have the "old school" turnips in the background. However, her boots should match her bandana, her hair is too light, and her sleeves should be half way between her wrist and elbow and should be looser around her arm. Also, I feel like the color of each item seem very off, like chelsea doesn't look like she is in the same place or area as the cow. Overall though, this is a fantastic picture!!!!!!!!!!!! I just adore your cow, she's so CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ≧∇≦

Oh gosh. Do you remember which girl in which DS game you can't marry? D: Oh I'm gonna have nightmares about that...
I've got to say, my favorite gals were always Maria/Merivia from the 64 era, and Muffy/Muu from the early Gamecube epoch. Tell me Hidon, I know you've played the first Rune Factory, but have you given any of the sequels a look?

I mostly just watched BW play through a chunk of 1 and some of 2, but I never really went into them myself. That said, I hear the series is still doing well so maybe I oughta.

I think you can't marry the Witch Princess in DS without breaking the game. Or, at least, it completely ruins your game to get to the point where she says she'll marry you and then it never happens anyway. I recall having to be a jerk to everybody in town and ritualistic animal slaughter (her love for you goes up if you kill your animals o_o).

I might note that the Wii versions are pretty much bug-free, and that I've found them to be unusually enjoyable for the series.
