been a while...I dunno what's wrong with me these days. I don't seem to be able to paint or draw ANYTHING decent. Really giving me a hard time to be honest...
Plus, I am extremely demotivated, can't get myself working on anything.
here is some of that crappy output. :/
This took WAY to long going through tons of different alterations. Composition?! For the toilet. Hoho, you don't wanna see how this looked in the beginning!

I gather from this and several other of your works that you are a fan of Tsutomu Nihei. This looks like Killy sitting down to recharge in some random hallway. I'm half expecting a Silicon Life to come bursting through that wall.

This is a really nice piece of work there man, I love that kind of atmosphere and strive to create a similar feel in my work (though the results are nowhere near as good). So yeah, maybe it lacks a proper finish and details here and there but from a wider perspective it's simply awsome!

Shit man, you're too hard on yourself.
With the exception of the slaughterhouse painting, to me this comes off as the most unique picture you've done.
Sure it conveys a sense of distance like the others, but this one seems like it was done on a much much smaller scale like the Train series but with a light that has... (personality?) to it that's just different.
This painting tells a specific story I haven't seen so clearly since you submitted Distraction Point, but even more so.

I dont speak a word of german, but I get the feeling chrike is on the right track with your slump, I know whenever I feel overworkd nothing gets me back on track better than a goood buzzzz(drunkeness) and some friends.

it's still way better than most people including me but i do see what you mean by demotivated. It's not nearly as lovely as usual. A little less dedication in it. But we all need a break sometimes. I'm sure you'll feel better soon.

First off, I would like to say that there is nothing crappy about this piece or any of your work for that matter. As far as your block goes, you will find a way through it like everyone. You have put out quite a bit of work recently and your creavtive batteries just need recharged my friend.
Just wondering, do you play any musical instruments? I play guitar, bass and recently picked up the mandolin. I find any of these a great way to recharge my batteries!
Anyway, I look forward to many more years of great art from you! I have followed your work for quite a while and you have been a great source of inspiration for me. Never give up...

yeah, in fact I do! Have been playing the guitar for long! I also do martial arts for a change

Ich glaube das Problem bei der Komposition besteht hΓΆchstens darin, dass alles so sehr in der Mitte ist - ich wΓΌrde mal versuchen den dunklen Bereich im Vordergrund zu vergrΓΆΓern. Dann wird das Auge vielleicht auch mehr zum Wandern angeregt, im Moment schaut man nur so drauf und das war's. Den Lichteinfall finde ich aber schonmal sehr schΓΆn.
