I've been using some different painting techniques so all my paintings are basically experiments right now, and quick ones at that. (also this scanned weird...) so apologies for the rough work? I kind of like it though. I feel like I'm finally learning to paint instead of just putting paint on drawings. Unfortunately I don't have time to really bring a painting up to a finished state because I have to fill my AC panels and have maybe 5-6 hours I can dedicate to each one. Oooops.

P.S. Thank you soooooo much to the person who mentioned the open acrylics because I decided to give them another chance and have actually been learning how to use them effectively (I bit the bullet and really started slathering the paint on thick instead of my usual minimum-pigment method). I decided I *really* like them, at very least because the paint doesn't immediately harden in my brush while I'm painting, among many other reasons They still aren't as good as oil but I really don't want to fuck around with that volatile-vapour-cancer-causing-chemical bullshit ha ha. Or teach myself how to use walnut oil when I'm really down to the wire on filling out panels. We'll call that my summer project.
