It's actually official that Gobber is gay. Craig Ferguson and the HTTYD2 director Dean Deblois both confirmed it. I'm not sure if Stoick was too (after his reunion with Valka could reaffirm him being straight but that's just a thought XD) but it's a funny spin you've made and makes their relationship all the more hilarious in hindsight. And there's no worry for HTTYD2 not doing well in theaters anymore with it reaching more than half a billion in worldwide box office sales.
