I also wid luv ta. And write my own version of Wuthering Heights, only different, but the same impassioned and desperately screwed up people with loving hearts unwanted and wildly wonton. Ackk, no no, not about Chinese food. Then again, who knows! Maybe that'd be the final straw, or chopsticks? (Exchange one o with an a, please.)

Honestly, Eileen, I see calendars, photo picture books, book covers, travel agency pamphlets, etc., all wearing your photos. I'm very very sincere.

@drrocket. Ditto. Though no snowed-in or ice storms, plz. I enjoy the wind, too. But I missed CA so much when I moved to AR, and was sooooo happy to move back, maybe I'd miss it no matter where I moved? There are things about CA I dearly love, especially coastal areas. But huge population has destroyed so much of what I still remember it was like as a child.

Heh, snowed-in isn't a problem as long as you're prepared for it; been there, done that. Ice storms, on the other hand, are the most awfullest thing I have ever gone through. There was one in Oregon (lemme see, mebbe '77 or '78), I was in East Portland and it took me four and a half hours to get back to Newberg where I lived. I started trying to cross the Clackamas River at the Ross Island bridge and every bridge from there to Canby was closed because they were too dangerous to try to cross. Finally got home, parked the car and went to bed. When I got up the next morning to go to work I made coffee, opened the front door to look and where my car was parked there was a seven foot tall pale orange (the car was a sunset orange Honda Civic hatchback) ice cube. The car had eight inches of ice on it cementing it to the ground. I closed the door and went back to bed.
It was so cold that Multnomah Falls (along the Columbia River gorge) froze from top to bottom. Fully 1/3 of the trees in Washington park were killed as the ice ripped off limbs then took the trees down. It was awful!

Don't even get me started about the 2000 ice storm here in Arkansas...

Thank God I wasn't still in AR in 2000! I was gone by mid 80s.

I've had to drive in minor ice storms... skidding all over... finally had to pull over and wait it out. Have almost died in that or snow storms in cars driving by relatives, when on vacations.

Wow, you finding your orange car as one ice cube! Too bad you couldn't have taken pics, that would have been something to see!

OMG to Multnomah Falls! You should write stories. Do you? That would make an exciting one.

What was that movie, about the ice storm... a more recent one... so very sad and moving... was the first time I'd seen an ice storm like that.

Ackkk, page is open, started to read it, wut?, almost 2 hours ago? Got side-tracked by phone, by frying hamburgers for way late dinner, and Craig Ferguson. Still have to get back there. I will. But it's probably sceeery, I'll have nightmares bout Arkansas tornadoes coming at me upon all that ICE! Just what I need, WORSE tornado nightmares! *runs and hides under the bed*
