You tear open your package and you saw doll that looked exactly like…

Bertholdt Hoover. AKA: The Colossal Titan

You picked up the doll with caution, as if you’d break it if you did anything wrong.

It looked like a normal plush, so you went to set it down on the couch. Until a blinding light emitted from said plush, causing a wave of shock to come over you, gasp, and drop the “plush.”

As soon as it started, the light disappeared and what was left was a tall man, about the same as you, and could take form as the Colossal Titan any minute now.

You immediately dialed a number you know would answer your questions.

After a few rings, the person on the other end picked up. “Hello, Petra speaking.”

“What the hell did you give me?” You clenched your jaw, trying to stay quiet to not wake-up the person now sprawled on your living room floor.

“Hey there, (f/n)~!”

“Don’t change the subject!”

“Relax, relax. He doesn’t have his titan shifting abilities anymore. The dimension leap took that away from him.”

You unconsciously let out a sigh of relief.

“What does that mean?” A male voice asked from behind.

Well, shit.

“Ah, glad to see you’re awake, Bertholdt~!” Petra’s cheerful voice almost made you want to calm down and figure things out yourself.

Almost.

“What’s going on?” Bertholdt asked in a panicked voice. Guess what? He started sweating too. Shocker.

“Well if you must know, Mr. Colossal Titan, we are in a different universe or to put more simply, a different dimension. There are no titans, and no titan shifting. Meaning, you cannot transform into a titan anymore.”

You felt Bertholdt stiffen besides you.

“But if it makes you feel better, Annie and Reiner are here as well, along with some other people you trained with when training for the Military.” That did relax him a bit.

“How did we get here?” Bertholdt asked.

“That is a question I cannot answer. All I know is I was killed by the Female Titan,” She emphasized the words Female and Titan, causing Bertholdt to flinch a little. “And I opened my eyes and I was here.”

“But I didn’t die.”

“That’s the weird thing. There are plenty of people who didn’t die who are here right now. But something happened.”

Bertholdt exhaled and looked away from the phone that was placed on the counter and on speaker. You picked it up, turned off the speaker and held it up to your ear. “Look, it was nice talking Petra, but we have to go now. Alright. Bye.” And then you hung up.

You sighed and turned to face Bertholdt. “So…” You began awkwardly.

~*TIMESKIP*~

It’s been a year since that event. During that time span of a year, Bertholdt located his friends Annie and Reiner, and spent some his time with them.

But most of his time was spent with you, either learning how to use modern technology and getting used to it, or just talking and getting to know you better since he was now your roommate.

Bertholdt was probably one of the nicest people you’ve met. He did one time admit to you that he feels incredibly guilty for taking lives when destroying the walls.

But now it was the middle of winter, and the two of you were snowed into your house.

You flipped through the channels, bored that you nothing to do. You felt a shift in the couch as someone sat next to you.

“Bored?” You hear Bertholdt ask.

“Oh yeah.” You answered bluntly as you turned off the TV and sat straight up. You shivered as the blanket you had over you body slipped off of you. “Holy crap, it’s cold!” You claim, cuddling yourself in the blanket again.

“Well it is winter…” Bertholdt chuckled.

Then, the lights flicker violently before they go out.

“That’s just damn great.” You muttered. It didn’t take very long for the heat to drain from your house, leaving you shivering under your blanket.

“You ok, (f/n)?” Bertholdt asked.

“Winter sucks ass.” Your teeth clattered. Bertholdt couldn’t see very well, but he could here you shaking, and he could stand it. So he pulled you on to his lap, and pulled the blanket over the two of you, and embraced you. His cheeks were so red he could’ve sworn that they were glowing in the dark.

His cheeks weren’t the only ones turning red/. But he was so warm, you snuggled closer.

“You’re so warm Bertl.” You sighed before you could stop yourself. The heat emitting from his body made you extremely tired from how comfortable it was.So you let your eyelids slowly close.

Once Bertholdt saw your eyes closed he swiftly placed a chaste kiss on your forehead. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t have anything more than friendly feeling for you. After that little kiss, he tightened his hold on you.

“Bertl…” You said sleepily. This caused him to cast his gaze to you.

You took this chance to claim his lips. Bold as it was you knew you wouldn’t have been able to do it under normal circumstances.

Bertholdt kissed back just a bit more passionately. Once you pulled away, it left him completely unsatisfied, the feeling of wonder lingering on his lips.

“I love you Bertl.” You murmured as you snuggled into his chest.

“I love you too, (f/n).” He said into your hair before lightly kissing the top of your head.

Then the two of you fell into a peaceful sleep in each others arms.
