This is one of the coolest ideas on Aquaman that I have seen in awhile.

I am reminded of the ending of Arnold's last Conan film, and "Wore his crown on an uneasy brow."

David Charlton and I share an admiration for Lovecraft and Howard myth, which factored heavily into my initial run on Aquaman at DC2. So naturally Conan as king came up in our initial discussion for reviving those story lines. As well as Arthurian myth where the weary king can't seem to find his Holy Grail.
