There was a plethora of colors to choose for this breed, but I finally settled for the black-breasted variety.

The breed stems from one of the oldest strains of poultry, and were developed into a range of colors by English nobility during the middle ages.
They can be found as both bantams or normal sized chickens. They are very active and alert and despises confinement, so they do best when allowed to free-range.
Originally used for cockfighting, the males are highly aggresive towards other roosters and will have to be kept seperated from six weeks of age, or they will fight to the death. Even the hens are aggresive and should not be kept with more docile breeds. The breed is very friendly and social towards humans though, and easily becomes tame. The hens are wonderful mothers if allowed to raise chicks.
