Description "Then Finwë lived in sorrow; and he went often to the gardens of Lórien, and sitting beneath the silver willows beside the body of his wife he called her by her names. But it was unavailing; and alone in all the Blessed Realm he was deprived of joy. After a while he went to Lórien no more."
(J.R.R. Tolkien "The Silmarillion")

This is when Finwe decided to go Lórien no more. He is holding Míriel's last, unfinished handwork.

2013.

So sad and so cute (due to little Feanaro) at the same time. I think his fiery-orange appearance brings some contrast, some liveliness into the picture. Poor Finwe, poor Miriel, poor Feanaro.
And I like how you used the "natural" form of the bottle to put the grieving willows like a frame around them.
Um, that bottle... but then you can only fill sad drinks into it.

It was a sad day, when I made this. But I'm happy that you like it.

Filling with sad drinks... Maybe with tears?
