The product of another week of Summer Institute classes (the same lovely program that gave you Heart Under Glass last year). Still a self-portrait class, but this time a little different. All images and objects scanned/photographed by yours truly from my collection of junk. The original finished piece sports a frame covered in dried rose petals. I'd go into the symbolism and meaning behind this picture...but I don't feel like it. Make your own up.

Oh, one more thing. The object superimposed over my face is a bottom view of an animal skull I found in a field when I was little. It's some kind of medium-small sized mammal...possibly a fox. Has yet to be identified for certain.
