Description
The second assemblage for my Artist's Book class. This time we had to use an egg carton of our choosing.So, we have one partial egg carton, one doll body minus the head, five doll hands, red thread, four needles (three in the doll and one in the bottle), two glass bottles, a wooden stand, a marble, and an assortment of yellow pills.
Everybody was pretty baffled by this one...I got questions like "is it about euthanasia?" (what?) and some odd looks, but a lot of people liked it. When asked what it's "about", I can honestly say that while there are probably deep subconscious disturbances in my psyche manifesting here....I honestly just made it 'cause I like the aesthetic.
One girl asked if I liked Silent Hill, and that made my day.

a real interesting piece! i dont think a work like this needs an explanation or justifying at all.

it strikes me as funny that everyone has to think that because the artist created it, the piece has a point, or a subject. 90% of my work was wrote and or drawn because i was just in that mood, and i wanted too lol. most of it has no meaning to me, but oddly alot to others, and they're always asking ME what the meaning of it is.
i rind it amusing.

I love how the hands are trapped in there by the red thread. It's a cool, creepy-weird aesthetic (one of my favorite kinds). oh and the colors work well together, too.
