Damn I love that partial solar eclipse, even right now while typing the sun is still hiding behind the moon but now much too light to take more pictures...At first I thought I won´t be able to see it, because it´s snowing and the sun was hiding behind clouds... but in the end I even got a few pictures
The date in the camera data shouldn´t irritate you, it´s taken on January 04. 2011 ca. +- 09:25 AM Central European Time

Beautiful shot.
I was up early, and waded through deep snow in the forest and slid around on ice for 5 kilometres just to get a clear view of the sunrise... but when I finally did, the horizon was covered in clouds

I was also wandering through snow and got also clouded view at the beginning, there was a strip of clouds exactly on the sun and no wind to blow it away XD.. but after 10 minutes the sun rose up enough to snine through the clouds. At first I really feared I go home without pictures but I was really lucky. Too bad you hadn´t such luck, I don´t quite know when the next eclipse will happen but I wish you the best of luck to see it in clear view at that time

I stayed there for like half an hour before deeming it as hopeless. It was so cold to stay there and wait
