Hello again. I'm just full of questions for you today. If I'd realized that I would have put these all on one page. But anyway. Do you have any tips on how to Β draw more realistically? I'm kinda' struggling to draw in a style that isn't anime, though for the most part it seems like my drawing style is naturally transitioning into slight realism anyway. Based on your personal experiences, would it be better to just wait it out or and let it continue to happen on it's own or force it out?

Hm, that is a good question! I also did the anime-to-(sort of)-realism transition. It was definitely a conscious effort on my part, so I really don't know if you'd count that as forcing it or just practicing. Either way, I say do what moves you--if you feel like you want to push over into realism, there's no reason not to try! Your style will work itself out in the end, into something you're comfortable with.Β

lol the second I read "thuggish" I thought of a ghetto version of the Late-Victorian era. (thug life, yo)
The pose is so loose and relaxed....the natural unsaturated colors make it seem old-fashioned.

i assume people rich enough to have servants don't even know how to put the clothing on, let alone button it. They probably just assume that between waking and eating breakfast clothing appears on them. True story: my dad stayed at some B&B in Scotland at the same time as a Lord of some type, and the B&B wouldn't allow the guy's manservant/butler fellow to stay with him because it was a one person room, and the Lord complained at breakfast about how his toothbrush wasn't foaming correctly here. It turned out it wasn't foaming correctly because he didn't know you had to put the toothpaste on it yourself. It had always been done for him.
Would you scream that your bustle was never big enough? MORE BUSTLE! MORE BUTTONS!! TINIER HATS, THE HATS MUST BE TINIER!! Hundreds of servants died in the attempt.
