Finally done with this pic! For now maybe I will edit it in future because there are things I like and things I don't.like - the general figure
dislike - cathedral and goddamn hand DX
Anyway it is Veere of my prequel manga thing 'Damned'. It was supposed to be a piece to accompany 'the blasted backbone' but turned into a full CG D8.
He looks A LOT like another oc of mine |D if you don't read my art blog *too much spoilers in that!* I'll let you figure out why. It's not hard especially with such a huge clue right there and if you're an observant watcher you'll have seen him before on another picture |D.
If not you can just drool over a pretty boy random angel XD.
Most pain in the ass things were the wings and stupid sword. Also duh the cathedral. Personally I prefer him just alone but that's kind of boring and I thought I'd have a go at an actual bg for once. I used to draw cathedrals so it wasn't a completely new thing but I am rusty and needed the practice XD because of cathedral scenes to come.
Lol I just know this pic will get like no attention XD cos its the law that half assed pics get the bumlove and things you work your ass off on get nothing.
Well his fans should like it anyway XD. Now this is done I can start attempting 'Damned' maybe.
The title I believe is a distraught overlord song XD but it fits with the whole ideal of 'Damned'

This is a pretty amazing illustration! And even if you don't like how the cathedral turned out I think is looks good, and I like the fact that you did it by yourself instead of just cropping a picture and applying some filters to it...

Hmm, maybe the cathedral could use some really deep shadow on one side of it, and no shinies on that part, to make it look more realistic?

It took a few days on and off XD. I can't work on a CG for like days straight D8 I need to switch between stuff.

I completely agree that wings, hands, and backgrounds are the hardest to draw/color, but you did extremely well, and I look forward to seeing the story behind this picture. I have a thing for Fallen Angels, as you can probably tell from my screen name. Very well done piece of art, and right now I see nothing you could do to improve it. Has a lot of mystery behind it, and makes me want to see more.

Urgh I hate drawing hands so bad and I used to draw wings all the time so it was like wow been a long time.
Ahh yeah I have such fascination and always have had since I was a kid with demons and angels *A*. I decided to use fallen angels as the centre of my project and looked up a load of stuff on angel and demonology. They are more like victims than anything in my story though as there's many interesting concepts surrounding Lucifer and the war in heaven. Also probably only Veere retains his angelic form after the fall the others are changed because I think afterall what's the point in a fallen angel if they aren't broken |D
Ahh I will try to get it started soon.
