Kiara: " I'm the queen, we could at leas have talked about this"
Kovu: "He KILLED a lion Kiara, He made our sons best friend father less, There were nothing to talk about."
From the start of Kovus regin and until now, Kovu has been a total push over. Even tho he was the king, Simba were the one to make all the decisions in prideland.
But when Kovu saw Zera sitting next to her fathers corpse, Something changed in him, He wouldn't obey the old king any longer.

Kovu technically can't do that. Sure he is considered king, but with Kiara being the true heir she makes the final decisions because Kovu, who doesn't have a drop of royal blood, would be a king in title only and more of a royal consort or prince more than anything. I mean I get that they are fictional lions and don't make much sense but I'm thinking if these are humans because they have human personalities and problem solving.

Cool your scar is also alive!! Mine to he isn't killed by the hyenas nala his daughter gets them to spare him by giving him a faithe worse than death banishment the hyenas leave of course they took a few lions lives
Nala says even if he did so many horrible things her mother loved him and Nala herself could never forgive herself if she allowed him took die so he left he comes back later when Kiara has cubs of her own one which runs away when she's a teen and runs into scars son who is friends with a hyena named Nyeusi
I haven't written the entire fanfic yet only a few ideas Here and there

In my version the reason Zira went mad is because, in my head cannon e had a daughter called Zera who was born around the same time nala and Simba were she got pregnant from a Rouge but a lion who's had a crush on Zira finally gets his chance and Zira eventually accepts him since he's been in love with her since they were cubs
So Zera her eldest dies during Scars end but not before leaving behind a cub who will be Kovu
Zira looses her daughter, her mate and she thinks scar is dead a lion she thought of as a brother and Mufasa it finally breaks her

I image this fanfic version is like an Alternate Universe/Storyline(Reference from the 1st TLK) that Kovu lied and manipulated himself betraying to Zira, Kiara, and Simba plus he Banishing Simba and planning to kill him Then Kiara will becomes his Slave and all the Lionesses including the Hyenas will become Kovu's Army Just like his Adopted Father Taka/Scar

I've always been a fan of evil Kovu. But yeah, I agree with other comments -- Kovu would merely be a prince, not a king and Kiara's role as queen would trump anything that Kovu wanted to do. However ... something would have to give to cause conflict.

Actually, not really. As Kiara is royal blood, Kovu literally has no say o: It doesn't matter about sex, it matters of blood
The only time he'd really get power is if Kiara has to leave, even then when she comes back she would easily be able to dismiss any decisions he made during her time away

I also think even if Kovu would banish Simba then Kiara could get rid of Kovu. In my opinion also the lionesses would help her (except Vitani). Kovu and Kiara's cub is still heir so there is still their male at top of the line.

Yep. That's one of the reasons why I dislike the AU's were Zira won and people think Kiara would sit and cry. I think she would've pushed them right off priderock xD
