Excellant first sculpt!!your a natural!!I use a 50/50 mixture of Super Sculpey beige and Super Sculpey firm and I've found this consistency really works well and as far as the cracks I usually take my sculpts straight from the oven and give them a cold bath in water and have not had any problems with cracking.Hope this helps!

Ill give that a try. I think the cracks i got was from using the clay to thick. i got no bulking with foil in the first try. but on the second one i spend some tyme getting that rite, so no cracking there.

You should get some Super Sculpey: Firm clay. Mix it in a 1-to-1 ratio with the Super Sculpey until it's all one color(which will be gray). The Firm stuff is REALLY dense, I've hurt my fingers trying to knead it by itself. Mix them by mushing the soft clay over the firm and then dice it all up with a knife, scramble the pieces, mush together and repeat until fully blended.
Your sculpture. Her body, in general, is rather... lumpy. Her breasts are off and something weird is going on with her waist and hips. Very nice boots, though.

Looks great for a first piece... much better than mine! I think you have some excellent techniques for detailing that will aid you greatly from now on... you just have to work on the basic form a bit. The arms and thighs are a bit long compared to the lower leg. I might just lengthen that a bit to even out the proportions. also round out the breasts a bit... otherwise this is a stellar first piece and I am eagerly anticipating your rise in skill to accompany your abundant talent!

Thanks a lot Madd. Yes i did have some trouble working with proportions as this is the first time i used an armature, so removing legs or any other part was not an option. but i like my second one. i feel its got better proportions, although its a bit of a stiff pose. lol

Never feel that you can't revisit forms pre-baking. Invest in some tubing that is the same width as your armature wire and these issues can always be resolved. I am really interested in seeing more of your work. The assassin is nice, I might think about bulking out his legs a bit more though, especially his thighs. Nice work!

Something about hips is not 100% right. They should be exaggerated to make pose more... feminine but I think you overdid it a bit. Lovely motion impression, that's for sure.

Thanks RK. I agree was trying to swing the right hip a bit but i think it is to forward in comparison to the rest of the torso.
