I know you posted this comment like two years ago but you are so right about Edward wanting Glory I think that's pretty accurate for a pirate though I never got to finish that game so I don't know what happens at the end.

So this like what they hunt out or seek I guess which is cool now if Edward was here His would probably be 'Purpose' or 'Freedom' those two make the most sense to me if you did go with freedom then Connor's could be switched to 'Justice' or something.

if there was a new game of Assassin's Creed. ((Just throwing my game thought idea)) They should be in the age of the Samurais. I know there's too many backgrounds if his ancestor somehow came to be in China or Japan. It be fun to see a new height of stealth. Templar clans verses ninjas or many other types of Assassins. There should be a choosing of whether to be a ninja assassin or samurai assassin
