Here is another fan art of Street Fighter. Now Makoto is not that very popular I think, but I like her much, She is cute to me. and she has great martial arts. She should have been included in Street Fighter 4 I think. Capcom has done a very poor job in the development of this character I think. Meaning she only appears in one Street Fighter series (SF3) while others appear in lots. People, people please, we need more fan art of her. I wish her popularity grew as much as Chun li and other female characters have.Well anyway, I am glad on how this turned out. It took me approximately 4 hours all together to do this picture (from hand sketch to final colored piece seen here). The background: a little genetic, I think. partially taken from 3d software map. Lettering custom made. I was going to use font from the list on Photoshop but It takes away a little from my originality. I hope she is liked.
Makoto belongs to Capcom.

Anyway, I think it's quite reasonable why Makoto's not popular. Her design is so simplistic. And now too many people are familar with SF3, maybe that's why.
Also I thought Makoto was a meh character at first and thought she was a boy, but as time grew, I gave her a chance and wow, she's amazing. Honestly I don't know why or how I got interested in Makoto. She just seems like one of those characters that got loved by luck but I don't know. Nonetheless, she's cool.

At first I was't a Makoto fan(or a user in 3rd strike), now I'm using her, and pretty much she's great to use, and I love delivering nut shot after nut shot to pros who underestimate me! XD

Makoto has to be the only true Street Fighter character, Capcom ever came up with after the SFII series.

I've tried similar poses myself and they're hard for me so I salute your good work with the downward-looking angle. I do notice that her shadow on the ground seems very dark, so I wonder if that's supposed to represent some dark force associated with her. (Of course I might only have noticed the shadow because I'm self-conscious about my own use of shadows.)

actually she has a decent fanbase and in the NEW Super Street fighter 4 along with 9 other new characters(including dudely and ibuki) Makoto is my second favorite SF character (sakura is my first) idk I seem to have a thing for tomboys
