You can never have enough Barnsleys
I'm not 100% happy with this one, probably because of the palette, but it was SO HARD to colour. I wanted something vivid, but nothing would work unless I made most of the fractal really dark. This is the best compromise I've been able to find... which isn't saying much but at least it's something!

P. S.: I've been working on an artistic project off-site for a while which doesn't involve fractals I'm making a PokΓ©mon fan comic. It feels refreshing to expand my artistic horizons even beyond fractal art. Not that I'm abandoning fractals, of course - I never could! I love them and I finally got to a point where I almost never think that what I make completely sucks.

This looks awesome! And it has so much depth, it's like an endless galaxy of bubbles and... other stuff ^^' The colours look simply amazing as well.Β

Aww, thanks! I struggled quite a lot with colour on this one. Couldn't make up my mind on what to use

Really beautiful!Β  Love the colours and the shapes remind me of various fruits.

Thanks The colours still leave me not 100% satisfied, although I definitely like the Barnsley shapes (I've been abusing the KPK Wiggbarn formula).

Hehee there's nothing like a bit of UF abuse! Β  Sometimes too, I find on rendering there is less vibrancy in an image, and in one recent case, the colours changed completely in some areas - and that's just viewing it in the standard windows photoviewer without taking it into an editor!!

I really need to try some Barnsley work.Β  For some reason I never have, but that's possibly because I like to do very flowing stuff.Β  I'll have a go shortly though...

Hmm... I've never had colours completely change on me by rendering in UF. What image format do you use? I render in .png and with the RGB colour scale. Things might change if you use .jpg and/or CMYK.
Anyway, I did retouch the colours on this one a bit - something I've only ever done twice or maybe three times on all my UF fractals - because they just wouldn't stand out in the fractal editor
Barnsleys are really fun, although it takes a lot of digging to find the interesting shapes!

In that particular instance I did both png and bmp and always use RGB.Β  It was quite surprising, but there were also textures involved in which I had to turn off the anti-aliasing completely to get them to show up even at half of what they were originally!Β  Even changing down the iterations didn't make the difference.Β  On the in-UF picture there were black areas that made it look as though there were holes and jagged edges, but on render, all that disappeared, and the colours were much more monochromatic too...Β  I had to do a bit of postwork to re-gain some of the impression I was after.

Oh well, that's really strange. Never happened to me, so I don't really know what to say. Good thing you got it working with the retouches though!

Wow! This kind of makes me think of a party scene or something, haha! It's kind of like a big ball or so just exploded and confetti is falling everywhere.

I know - I'm weird like that. Sorry. And, on the other hand...I kind of see it like some other sort of celebration; a little more tranquil and civilized: we have an overhead view of a city far below and there are balloons and all kinds of party favors flying upward towards the camera.

It's a very cool scene!

You're not weird, I always enjoy reading what mental images you get from my works you seem to have a vivid imagination and I love that! It goes very well with abstract art in general, I think. And I can't blame you for thinking it's feasty, since the colour explosion pretty much suggests that (even though I didn't do it on purpose)

lol. Well, I'm glad you approve. This piece was rather fun to look at because it's the only one where I've really been able to open my mind to it. I mean, I like your other works, too. It's just that, this one really intrigued me.

Yup, I get it and as said, it's always fun to read what you have to say about my works, no matter what works.
