In addition, with her connection to certain arm dealers that hold a distaste for Miras or Koben, she believes that business is easier by remaining as a neutral bottom-feeder of the war.

Pride in her own choice and success of freedom and business have made her an ambitious and passionate woman. She puts major efforts into her work, thus making her sure of success and boosting her self-confidence. Once her mind is set on doing something or dedicating her attention, she follows through her plan until the end and receives her desired result. As much as her confidence is a virtue, it is also a liability as it makes her blind to her own limits and capabilities. Whenever she fails, it prompts her to look back at her work and learn from her mistakes. While accepting of her mistakes in silence, she does not tolerate her mistakes being voiced out by another person.
Very few things or people are dear to her after the escapade from Estraude. Any hint of ridiculing the object, beliefs or person of her loyalty is a ticket to provoking her short-temper. When that happens, she becomes volatile and abrasive to the point that any attempts to reason with her will only lead to aggression. In general, she does not tolerate many things that either provoke her pride or her sense of purpose.
Although her loyalty brings her into a lot of trouble, it makes her extremely reliable and supportive. Come to her for help after you gain her trust and you will find a determined ally who will put all her effort into assisting you.
More than anything, Evelya is an independent individual after years of living by herself. Her loyalty is simply an extension of staying true to herself, as it provides her a sense of security in her individuality and freedom in her life. In short, she enjoys providing support for others but prefers to work by herself due to the lack of dealing with other people's faults.
History
Evelya was the youngest child of the Marikoths, a wealthy wood-elf family of five living in Estraude. Her family had a splendid reputation and many clients through their trade of exotic crystals, fine furniture, beautiful jewelry, and rare books. Being the youngest, she grew up free from the burden of her family’s trading business and spent her time nurturing a creative perspective of the world. As a young girl, she desired to learn about the world herself and always applied theories of how life worked. Her theories rarely bothered her parents until she questioned her family about the equality between dark and light elves, a topic that her family despised. Her parents became wary of their daughter's behavior that they reprimanded her that her thoughts were queer. Hurt by their desire to uphold a safe public image but caring for them, she attempted to mold herself into their ideal image of a daughter.
Changing never came to her. Her strong-will clashed with the family's usual modesty for years and her pride made her unwilling to change her individuality. In an acknowledgment that she refused to change, she spent eight decades dedicating her time to prove that her difference was a virtue. She took up activities that she preferred: arcane practice, alchemy lessons, and theorizing. The sheer amount of determination she poured into those activities gradually allowed her to grow into a capable woman. By the time Evelya reached the age of ninety-five, she possessed a great magic capability, a strong sense of independence, and a wave of admirers due to her success. Her mother applauded her achievements but her father still desired her to be more refined.
When her parents had permanently moved to Song-Lu for dealing with more exotic trade, her brothers had left for traveling and she had begun a small business for crafting items in Estraude. Life would have been peaceful if it weren't for the news that her family's business suffered a great loss when their trading ship sinking in between its travel from Song-Lu to Amedra. The ship, which sunk due to faulty equipment and harsh waves, led to the loss of workers and all the exotic goods that clients had requested. Because of the incident, most of their major clients lost their trust and eventually discontinued their trades and purchases. Families of the lost lives had also instigated a boycott against their trades, which led to the gradual decline of prosperity in the family. Everything broke apart as her father became tormented with the thought of losing more of his wealth and his pride. Desperation had gripped her father as he chose to arrange a marriage for her with a willing and wealthy suitor over a whisper willow in hopes of gaining back his wealth, all without Evelya’s consent. Angered and frightened by the loss of her control over her life when she learned of the plans from her mother, she ran away with most of her belongings, the tools of her trade, some wealth and a ride to Tusa.
Once in Tusa, she applied for a permanent citizenship under an alias and began to build up a life for herself by continuing her small alchemy business. Crafting tools and elaborate trinkets became the only distraction from her melancholy and her gradual build up in wealth for forty years. Everything had to be done carefully and subtly in public. The fear of being found and pushed back into marriage had made her wary of revealing her face that she became reliant on forms of messaging to continue her work. The entire time, she stubbornly refused to give up her choice in life that she went through great efforts to hide from her family. The thought of her selfishness did not come to her until a year later. By then, she was addicted to her freedom.
Another four decades pass and Evelya is now 165. The years of working have made her wiser and skillful as wealth became her source of motivation to reach higher. In her own way of celebrating, she set up her own atelier and bought a larger and more permanent piece of land under her alias. It is only during the last two years that the growing tension from war seems to appear in her fairly peaceful life. She did not become directly involved with the chaos until it came up on her doorstep in Tusa in the form of a commission: Imbuing a more potent weapon. That began her involvement in the rebellion as she views the movement as more profit, rather than freedom. She intends to continue imbuing weapons under commissions for the profit but currently lays low with the establishment of Shirin's control over Tusa.

- She theorizes that if Aureas was meant to be worshiped, then Atros needed to be worshiped too, for light cannot exist without darkness. Thus the twin gods and their elven races must be equal. This explanation originated from her estranged but beloved aunt that was a philosopher; Her aunt told her that darkness was merely the absence of light, thus there needed to be both Atros and Aureas so that they could exist. As a child, Evelya ran with that small explanation and intercepted it into her social beliefs of equality...
