No problem whatsoever! The game is actually in development right now, too!

Thanks! I'm currently making a game out of it, it is moderately far and I'll probably post some kind of progress report soon!

If I may give my opinion, If this is a game your planning on creating, it looks good. It kinda reminds me of the old gameboy games (even though it's suppose to be a GBA kind of game). but if not, then it looks cool for a concept.

I've been tiptoeing whether to do something with it. I think I will, to test my mettle as a programmer and developer.

Imagine it would be scaled times 2 when played.

And yes, anyone may give their opinion, heh, if I couldn't take constructive criticism I shouldn't be posting it online!

well in that case, if you do decide to go ahead and createis game, I'm more than willing to give you a hand if needed.

It'll probably be a solo project merely to expand on my skills,
but what is your expertise?

well, I just finished a project using the game engine RPG Maker VX, but I'm fluent in C++, C#, Java script, rubyscript, and I know a little bit of Objective-C. so my knowlage is kind of out there. if you want to see a demo of my finished project, I'll post a link soon.

Sure! I'd rather see your expeditions in say C++ or C# but anything that you made would be nice to have a look at.

Okay, I'll send you a link to the demo soon, and I'll dig up my old C# project.

Well, I have in the past, but I haven't actually done anything with this one.
If I do (when school isn't keeping me in a choke hold) I'll let you know

Thanks!

You do?
Do you have link to some of your projects, would love to see.
What kind of programming language/graphics library are you using?

oh I make experimental nonsense mostly. This is my account where I upload my games: [link]

I use Game Maker, people usually use it to start off with game dev before moving onto more powerful programs. It's easy to learn but can go really complex as well. I've stuck with it for ages... because I think it's great.

I've used Game Maker in the past, but after a few weeks I moved to C#. It's hard to grasp at first but Object Oriented Programming is just how the world around us works (including outside of computers) so eventually it makes sense. Together with XNA C# is an extremely powerful tool.

And as you've undoubtedly noticed, Game Maker has some serious performance issues (load times, memory usage) which is a non-issue when you program a nice game in an actual programming language.

yeah you're completely right. But I like GM because you can make stuff really fast. And if I was to make big games I'd move onto something else (I've been looking at Unity).

It is true that it is insanely fast to make things. It's a struggle making things in anything else, so if it floats your boat keep at it! Games can be great anywhere.
