Very reminecent of Norman Rockwell. I love the way her heels rest dangerously close to the edge of the stool while she wraps her arms around her legs in order to maintain balance. This pose attaches itself to many emotions. Great work again. I want to see all your work in person.

This is a wonderful painting. The mood is very calm but I get the sense that that isnt how the model is. Everything is so simple yet the complexity at the same time. It is physically simple and emotionally complex. The emotions are not portrayed physically, but they can be felt mentally. This is very lovely work.

I rarely use live models...I and they have no patience...I'd never ask someone to sit...I worry constantly about their comfort...thus I work from a multitude of photos (ie close ups, pull back shots etc).

im from auckland, the city dweller i am. lol. i havent been around most of new zealand's lovely places.. i wish i could. lol. and so i can draw and paint the lovely sceneries that i see on post cards. lol.
