This one gave me a harder time than any other prompt...except for mythology which I've no idea for...
but I decided nothing would make Katara more smug than the Fire Lord spawning a waterbending prodigy. I thought it would add insult to injury if she discovered this new magic splashing talent (as Uncle Sokka calls it) while Daddy was holding her.
For the record, say hi to one of my G2 Zutaraspawn. Her name is Ursa. She has a twin who is named Kya (after Katara's mom...) and firebends (the irony is not lost on either parent or me I assure you) and two older brothers, one you've met one you won't for a while but they're irrelevant.
So many shades of red...
Don't own Katara or Zuko. I do own Ursa and all siblings.

LoL I don't think she'll be TOO like her Aunt Azula. (Mommy and Daddy would surely do all in their power to avoid that, and Grand-Uncle Iroh would be extra sure to steer her in the right direction, I'd wager.) I see her as more the type of prodigy Aang is-sweet and generally humble about her ability and more interested in what fun she can have with it than in besting others.
And yes you will see her again. The next piece will feature her and her siblings and maybe a few cousins too

But ya know, it would be endlessly amusing to see Zuko freaking out bout his daughter being sent home cause she shot lightning at her teacher just because she didn't want homework over the weekend. XD
And the reason why I believe Zuko's little girl will be exactly like Azula is because of this brilliant artist (I sadly forgot whom D: ) and her Zuko-offspring OC (it's a set so look at them after eachother AND NO SPOILERS DON'T WORRY! <3):

well Kaya's a little prodigy too...but to depict her would totally dilute the effectiveness lol I meant no disrespect, my friend. I just think it's a beautiful irony that the baby named for a firenation namesake is a powerful little waterbender-and vice versa. She and her sibs have been my ocs (incubating in my heart and mind for quite a while now...actually probably longer than I've known your OC's since I made them up before I joined DA and the wonderful madness of the online fandom) for as long as I've loved Zutara, honestly. I just never introduced them because I've had OC's come back to bite me on the throat in the past...*shudders at bad memories of fandoms and the horrid OC's past*
Besides...twins who are different have a special meaning to me...given I was one.
Still...hope you aren't toooooo mad at me for a similar idea? They DO say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

Nah! I just find it ironic. My OCs came like just after the Blue Spirit episode. So, I've had them before I joined DA too. Only I doubt Ursa is Azula-ish were Keita, you can tell she's realted to Azula.

Mine came...hm hard to say when they came in canon, because I had my stint away from Nick but then YouTube videos drew me in...with Zutara...lol I woulda sworn it was canon...but when I came back for Secret of teh Fire Nation (remember when the Serpants Pass and Drill aired as a TV movie) I had the two of them.
No Ursa is NOTHING like Azula. She's more like 'uncle' Aang than either of her parents. Her older brother tho...Well Ryo got taken by Azula when he was six...or gets taken since I've never introduced him...but anyway he's adapted the nastier aspects of Zuko's family.
