Description ---
as I promised a long time age.

freehand, but illustrator is much better. at least for me. it all depends on getting used to some tool.

Nice style. Image 8 looks very similiar in colour and lighting to a DAIM piece I like shown here -

Do you get inspiration from him also?

Thanks Kingpops.
Few days ago I published them on Envato's Creattica and they refused it saying it's not "good fit for the gallery".
Obviously, my pieces are not so good as you claim.

This looks good, but to tell you the truth, Im not impressed. You might be better than me with other styles, but Im not a fan of computer art and I actually dislike abstract art like this alltogether. Don't get me wrong, this is a very good piece, but don't call it graffiti at all. It's not.

itd be even better if he didnt steal it!

hbielen In reply to DeviantTagger [2009-06-03 22:53:07 +0000 UTC]

I agree. It's not graffiti in traditional way, but it has similar feel, or similar approach to shapes and typography. At least to me. But since this is some kind of art we can all make anything from and about anything and call it whatever we want. Artist's freedom. Don't you think?
I also think that graffiti as an art form will have long future, and in that future just like in it's past there will be wast number of styles, so let's call digital form one of it's styles or iterations. What do you think?

DeviantTagger In reply to hbielen [2009-06-05 19:33:48 +0000 UTC]

Actually, for once, I completely agree. Except I still don't like abstract styles.

hbielen In reply to DeviantTagger [2009-06-05 21:11:12 +0000 UTC]

Hehe.
Long time ago I stopped drawing letters. Somehow repeating my own "tag" over and over again didn't give enough artistic satisfaction. These are just shapes that follow the form that I had in mind.

Yeah I can kinda see what you mean, but what you should have done was start piecing and going wildstyle. There are a lot of things you can do with just a few hookups.

I haven't tried to do anything vector or even on computer yet, but excellent style. I'm just getting into this myself, but markers are my medium of preference at the moment.

Gotta love tutorials though, I'm saving this one for when I try the vector method.
