Description EDIT: added a bit of text and a small map thing of her left side markings.

-----

Crasher x Inny 'baby'. ^.^

Interestingly enough, I found a program that works... decently well. *legasp* And, it can has transpareciez. Yessss.
I did an error at the end with the copyright, which is why it's not actually transparent. I saved and quit, not thinking more of it, but when I realized what had happened (the copyright makes it.. non-transparent, because it had a white BG), it was too late, and for some reason, after you quit, all of your layers automatically merge, in that program. x______x Biggest nuisance EVER. I can't recolor the lineart, or edit anything, even the watermark. Very, very, very annoying.

Registered Name: DD Roxette
Barn Name: Roxy
Gender: Mare
D.O.B.: 30/04/2005
Breed: Spanish Mustang
Sire & Dam: ZGS Crash Boom Bang x DD Iñes
Phenotype: Silver dapple smoky grullo splash
Eyes: Blue
Genotype: Ee / aa / nCr / Dd / nZ / nSpl
Height: 14.2hh
Body: Rather compact and stocky, but still feminine and smallish. She inherited her sire's good looks, athleticism and soft, rounded contours, as well as her dam's classic leanness, expressive eyes and strong, short back. Quite a muscular girl from being so tense and wary all the time.
Breeder/owner/trainer: *Hazel-rah of Double Dance .
Temperament: Very strong wild instincts. If we'd break her in, it'd be very much the challenge, because even if she has had a lot of handling so far, she sees and senses humans as a serious threat, and has difficulty being relaxed and trusting around those foul-smelling two-leggers. Cannot be desensitized easily, and finds a lot of security in a herd environment. Hard-headed, constantly vigilant, spooks easily, picks a lot of fights, and is determined. Would potentially make a good Lead Mare.
Discipline(s): N/A
History: Born at DD stables.
Awards & Winnings: N/A
Offspring: ES Rox For Brains (red dun splash Mustang filly, sired by ES Just A Thought , owned by ~EquusEquidae ).
Restrictions: Must be bred to realistic colored, pure Mustang studs only (DevNote me to discuss otherwise.) Also, she should ideally be paired with a fairly level-headed, trainable stallion.
Availability: Currently available for private leases.

About the layer merging problem - sometimes it has something to do with what format you save it as.

I have Jasc Paint Shop Pro, and usually, I work on something in a psp. format, then when it's fully done, I save it as JPEG, but then keep the psp. version if I need to make any changes.

Hope that helps!

note: psp. formats aren't available anywhere except on Jasc Paint Shop.

Love the mare And what program is it? With Gimp I had that problem, but try saving it as .xcf then your layers should stay. But to get the uploaded image open the ones you want showing and such then save as .png, there should be a box asking you to merge so agree, but with .xcf all layers should stay there.

Hazel-rah In reply to AshtonPony [2010-01-17 14:23:43 +0000 UTC]

It's SAI Painter. I think you're right about the setting though. I must've done something different with the Roxette piece, because now, if I save under the default file type (sai, I think), it keeps layers intact. xD I'm assuming I thought it was finished, and saved under png or something, so it merged.
Anyway, thank you.

Yeah, either .xcf or the default file, like Paint.net has .pdn keeps them, Gimp doesn't have a default though xD So I must always remember .xcf, or I lose basically everything haha, and welcome Hoep it works for you from now on

What a good idea for the left side, thats a nice way to show it with out having to draw two pictures. I might borrow that idea, if you don't mind that is.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Hazel-rah In reply to LaughingHeron [2010-01-17 02:23:06 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I saw it at one point, and when the HEWA used a similar system a few days ago, it refreshed my memory, so I adopted it. I think I'll keep that template for all my horses' opposite sides, regardless of breeds. xD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LaughingHeron In reply to Hazel-rah [2010-01-17 02:28:11 +0000 UTC]

hehe, its a great idea and that way people can draw either side I hate feeling locked into one side of a horse when I do a breed picture.

looks fantastical hazel
what program are you using and having the transparency issues with? is it gimp by chance?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Hazel-rah In reply to snofoxx89 [2010-01-16 21:30:47 +0000 UTC]

It's SAI Painter. I have no problems with the transparency; it works fine. It's just that, as I said, when I close the program, it merges the layers automatically. I couldn't get this piece to become transparent because I made a mistake (put a white-BGed layer over the others, in Multiply), saved and quit. I can't go back and correct the white layer, so it's not transparent. I'll just have to be more careful next time, but it sucks that I can't edit anything, after I'm done with it. >.>

And i love her coat color, too.

But you should really get an other program that doesn't merge the layers

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Hazel-rah In reply to EscyKane [2010-01-16 18:28:46 +0000 UTC]

Lol, I know. It's just that I'm poor, so I can't afford Photoshop. x.x; Therefore, I'm a slave to any cheap, free program on the 'Net. Thankfully, though, it only merges when I close up the program. When I'm working in it, it's okay... I know, retarded. v_v

Anyhow, thank you very much.
