Overall, I think you did an alright job. The main issue I have with this is that it's not very well communicated that the pink things are gemstones. if you want to show that they're gemstones, you can use the glass shader and mix it with glossy (or do something similar with the base of the tree). lastly, the gems are just sort of stuck onto the tree without any source or starting point. You can't really tell if each gem has grown from one branch or the other. If I were you, I'd give the gems a stem for them to hang from like the cherries in this picture engineerblogs.org/wp-content/u… or you could have taken a different approach and made the gems grow directly off the branches like this sciencenotes.org/wp-content/up… you can do this using a partical system to cluster crystals to the branches. here's a tutorial on how to do that www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnuNbI… and for the things I liked, I liked the tree and the base. the base especially sticks out to me because it looks like a gem since, well it's shiny and transparent like a gem. the base of the tree is also nice looking because of how simplistic it is. Overall, I like this idea and think it could work better if you changed the gems and maybe added a texture for the bark of the tree.
