Ehhhhhh! You're trying your hand at abstract artwork too! You're creativity is boundless, Haya-chan! ^__^
Not sure if I can say much in so little time, since whenever I'm in front of paintings like these in a museum, I stay there for a long time trying to decipher a meaning for myself.
Usually when I think of midnight (btw, I love the name for obvious reasons, lol!), the first thing that comes to mind is sleeping, darkness, inactivity and just overall nothingness. As if nothing goes on at midnight (and I mean REAL midnight, not pulling-an-all-nighter-in-college midnight). Even in large cities where a lot goes on (Mexico City at "medianoche" is wow!), there's not much in the way of happening compared to other times.
But that makes us forget about dreams... and when we do sleep, we go to different worlds, become different things and experience different senses and pleasures, and all without our conscious self being aware of it until right before waking up, when all the best parts of the dream have long since past!
So when I see this painting, I think of those dreams we never remember, where the dead of night becomes a vibrant sensory paradise that transcends time and space. Where our lowly pajama-clad selves become like this girl in the picture... clad in a super elegant ballroom dress flowing like fire through the corridors of a literal city of lights, brilliant beyond all imagining!
Did I mention I love it?
Well, I do!
Thank you for making this, it belongs in a museum! ^___^

Woaaaaaaah. This is incredible. The clash of warm and cool colors mixed with... well, it's just intense.
Magical would be a good way to describe it.
