Hitsugaya chuckled, pulling a startled Hinamori to him. The small young woman gave a light squeak, finding herself pressed up a solid chest. Her face flushed a deep shade of pink, as Hitsugaya's grip on her shoulders tightened slightly.

She could hear his heartbeat - so much steadier than her own, which was fluttering madly in her ribcage. She could even detect a faint trace of what smelled like cologne clinging to his captain's robes.

Giving the three shinigami a wicked smirk, the tenth squad captain met them with a level stare.

"I see that you don't need me to put you in your place, gentlemen. But I would advise that you avoid harassing Hinamori-fukutaicho in the future. Do I make myself clear?"

Because I wanted to draw Hitsugaya all grown up. How many of you saw the side story where we get to see a little Byakuya? He looks just like him! The way things are going right now, Toshirou is going to grow up...quite nicely.
