Surprisingly enough, I had this mostly finished about a week before BosleyBoz put theirs up, haha.I just needed to finish coloring is all.
It's funny how we both thought of the same concept for our EBC characters.
Anyway.
For a while I've been wanting to do something like this for Soren, since he's the heart of the flame that burns inside the Fire Empire at all times, as he is their leader.
He's pissed too.

Amazing! The fire looks great! I kinda want to do one for my cat now... which is the irony of it all, that a SNOW leopard lives in the Fire Empire... Oh well.XD

Anyways: that is the best stylized fire i've seen. Most of the time with people, you can't even tell it has form. You did a nice job making Soren properly dark enough with the light behind him. But with backlighting, where's the highlights? XD

And thank you. :U I was never a big fan of the red/yellow generic fire, so I tried to add a bit more realistic form to mine. D; I still need practice, but that's a whole 'nother story.
And he's not backlighted on purpose. It isn't so much as an actual event regarding a forest fire or anything, it's more of a... I don't know how to put it; but it's not backlighted because he isn't really being affected by the flames. I'm doing a bad job of explaining it, but yeah, um, he's not backlighted for a reason. |D
