Yeah totally.

I've always assumed that since most of these giant monsters were supposed to be mutated or something, i.e. not being born 200 feet tall or whatever, that they would retain animal behaviors from their previous, ordinary dinosaur lives. Thus Godzilla would retain whatver insticts the Godzillasaurs originally had.

This wouldn't apply to kaiju like Destroyer who were always in thier present forms, but would make sense for Rodan, Godzilla, Angurius, etc.
