Description
They are up for auction for real world money. not points. Paypal only.Bidding starts at point of uploading and goes until design is autobought or until next saturday, AUG 4, at 10pm CA time. All bidding will be done in comments ill place for each design below, reply to highest bidder with your higher bid~
(Also, if bidding goes to or over the autobuy limit then the autobuy option is gone and it is bidding only.)
2$ minimum increment

Once a design is won then the owner can do ANYTHING they want to change it, add to it, etc... no resell though. The design is not owned by the winner until it is paid for.
Im not gonna make it mandatory to refer back to me the first time you upload the new character but if you do its really appreciated

Yes and nine times out of ten if they're as pretty as the designs above the individual selling them is undercutting themselves. If you do not feel comfortable paying this much for a design than that is you. However, commenting on how expensive they may seem to you is impolite to the artist who has put in their own time and effort and priced them according to what they feel is fair.

Alright I am just curious... but how/why do you charge so much for these lD. I get that they are complex designs, but I have seen some similar to these you know, good lineart, good color scheme, good marking design, but they charge 20 points o3o; that's no where near as close as your charging. I for one really do want to charge this much for my adoptables (when I make them) they will be of my own original species, anatomy correct lineart, with smooth lines of varying shape, hopefully people will like my designs XDD but yes. Point being, how do you charge so much and actually get people interested? I have a feeling my attempt at adoptables will fall on it's face lD. Anywho, I have original species everywhere, I am going to try the moth-bat creatures called Azurii first, and... I need money... and any and all advice is appreciated o3o.

Oh just adding it my two cents: but you can get away with these types of prices if it's like you said, personal lineart, correct anatomy etc. and usually if it's set up as an auction. If you set it up as a flat sale lower prices usually do better, but not always. Sometimes varying the prices for flat sales help. Like a few for lower and a few for higher.
Best thing to do is just to make sure you have the design cleanly presented and that it is a design made tastefully, rather than just slapping colors on that are not presented in a way that makes them complementary or cohesive. Balance is good too. If the front is very dark it usually helps to make the back very dark too etc. This is not always true, but for the most part it is.

Hmm good question, i don't know, im just sort of going off of prices i've seen recently and trying not to short-change myself. I do put time into them and am saving up for a car so i do need cash and classes are starting soon so yeah. But really i just look at what others are charging, and i always feel like people charging 20pts are majorly shortchanging themselves and idk, i think character designs are worth more then that, cuz they are very useful and have so much potential

Thank you for responding, and not taking that as an insult ^u^. I believe that too, I actually am more interested in buying a design that has a decent price because I just see it as more valuable. Either way, thank you for your input, it helped me make up my mind about something <3

Good grief, Hailey, your color schemes are gorgeous! How on earth do you come up with them? Do you just pick and choose colors that look good to you, or do you have more of a detailed formula on the number of triads/complementary colors you use?

thank you! i just try to keep it in the range of five to seven colors and base them on themes really, im not really using any sort of color theory, just messing with color pallettes and using other colors to affect them x)
