During a Doodle-Session with (great guy - Watch him , Fave his stuff and whatsoever! )

I decided to give my OC Ryoukai another ReDesign - a small one regarding his belt and right shoulderpad.
Now I'm way more satisfied with his design, as he now is more agile with his right arm which he uses to attack - in contrary to his left arm for defense.

Buuuuut...that wasn't enough for me. As I'm learning VFX-Stuff right now for my future job, I decided to make a little project using my doodle and implementing something with 3D.
And here it goes : Flames with FumeFX for Maya. No Smoke, as it seems to not fit to the scene.

I modeled his swords (or rather his blades) and used the object source to emit the flames. Therefore I modeled stuff in 3D! ^^

Anyway, I hope you'll like the Redesign and the flames.

Doodle done with Paint Tool SAI, swords modeled in Maya, flame effects with FumeFX for Maya and composited with Nuke 7.0v9
