Description Another sketch from my hard-drive that I thought was kind of fun, so I did an ink & color job on it.

One of my favorite things about Twilight is that, for all of her phenomenal powers, leadership skills and intelligence, she's still often cast as the "butt-monkey" of the group. Whether it's Derpy dropping progressively heavier things on her head, a series of injuries made to match the appearance of her future self, or Fluttershy teaching her the answer to what's "wet and clueless", Twilight often ends up adorably trampled by the fates. I just tend to love watching the world slap that poor sweet pony around.

I've always especially enjoyed when she suffers full-speed collisions thanks to a certain blue pegasus... I think I could probably chalk it up to evoking Tigger pounces from another childhood favorite. It was a treat to see that bit make a return in the "Magic Duel" episode.

I think the best part is the single blue feather. It says everything you need to say about what just happened with the utmost subtly.

By the look of Twi's face and the ruined book in the mud, Dash is gonna wish she hadn't crashed into Twilight!

Thanks for the comment! Yes, the penalty for ruining a book is likely pretty steep. Dash may want to lay low for a month or two.

It does seem like this sort of thing happens a bit too much to the little magic user. True, friendship sometimes requires forgiveness, but let's hope Rainbow Dash also learns that not smashing your friend's face into the ground all the time is pretty important too. On the bright side, mussed up and mucked up as Twilight is, it looks like she'll recover. The mud bubbles are a cute touch, no doubt popping with the sounds of her annoyed sigh before she's able to pull herself up off the ground. It looks like Applejack was caught in the dust storm too but is more concerned for Twilight. After her shock wears off she'll help the unicorn up.

Outstanding job on Twilight's predicament, from facial expression and arrangement of her body in the puddle, and again, the bubbles! Book and papers ruined too for nice effect, and the single feather is all we need to know what happened. Aghast Applejack looks great too, and very nice work on her cart. Stylish. I wonder how hard those apples are – Maybe they can put together a battery of slingshots and let the blue pegasus find out what it's like to be used for target practice.

Heh, for a Unicorn who love reading books and do not attend physical activities, she sure is very strong and durable, probably life hardened her up with many accidents.
