Gilda is such a fun character design. On top of that, I actually really like her character... Admittedly, it's one that can't be a regular in a show as positive as Friendship is Magic, but I have a fondness for jerks who can cause conflict and make biting comments, as it only tends to endear the sweet characters they pick on to me more. Plus it's always fun seeing the jerk get put in their place. And unlike, say, Diamond Tiara who seems to go out of her way to be pointlessly cruel, Gilda was just really, really, really ill-tempered.If Trixie can make a comeback, it seems only fair that Gilda show up again in Season 4... maybe competing in the Equestria Games?

When I look at Gilda here I am reminded of a rich spoiled teenager on 20s who has never had so much as free time and a lack of strife, thus must make it up herself. It seems odd, but that is often what causes such ill behavior amongst that sort. Being called out on it causes that sudden taken aback sensation that Gilda displayed in the episode she was featured in. Of course the reaction for most people when called on there self inflected poor attitude is often to lash out and cut off those who do reveal that the offender need never have such an attitude and can in fact be sweet and kind. Sadly, at this point in age, most are to afraid of change (or what people will perceive that change in them as) to do much but be alone and cry/rage/yell at the walls about the situation. In most cases these issues get dealt with by the psychology profession or winding up all alone and realizing the only thing causing that isolation is themselves.

Gilda. I have mixed feeling about her. She's a bad person, and that makes me not like it...but I would say it is unfair, as there HAVE to be some evil chracter, isn't it?
