I'm so happy with this right now. T.T I think I've given up on trying to copy my mind's eye though. This is as close as I'm getting, man.Harseik, what is this?! This prowler of the beach is actually one of my dream beasts. <3 This one's quite new, as I dreamed him up half a week ago. I downloaded this sleep aid app on my phone and set it to a soft ocean wave sound with seagulls squealing in the background, so that was why this alert specimen decided to show himself. I don't think he's exactly true to form here though. I can't draw jellyfish skin, so I swapped that out with manta ray skin. Or at least that's what I was going for. The tail doesn't seem right either.
... And he's got a shieldy rock head thing. C:
I'm assuming he's appointed himself as a guardian of this particular shoreline, judging by the way he carried himself as he stalked around rock faces and trotted across the beach, stopping every once in a while to shift his attention toward the heart of the mainland.
What is he guarding the beach against, I wonder. 8I Or... maybe he's looking for someone.
I think I'll name him Vaabilon. Because I don't know.
I was heavily inspired by and referenced this image for the backdrop: [link] It was pretty darn perfect since the beach I dreamed about was quite gentle and spotted with layered rocks.

CREATURE eeeeee it's so cute! :'D I love dream creatures! They just pop up and like "Hey yaknow hi I'll just walk around and make sure you remember me" I would have loved to see your attempt on jellyfish skin though! Would have been cool to see a translucent texture. :'D But I do love rays <3 I think it'd be closer to ray skin if it had a little bit of bumpy texture? Rays ARE pretty smooth but they appear to be kind of rough! EITHER WAY THIS BBY it's awesome. <3333

Hmmm, I think you're right. Maybe I should've downloaded a lightly textured brush to use on his skin. Would've made him look far less rubbery. xP Thank you so much for your thoughts on the piece!

*tilts head* He's got the head an alien from Aliens, a body similar to Suicune from Pokemon, and the tail of an eel.......Neat!
And he's very pretty-looking, too.
