Description
Ludlow Avenue in Cincinnati in 1971 was a hopping place near the university. A movie theater, a fancy ice cream parlor, besides mini markets and quaint shops, below the apartments. Hanging out in a rare alley way loading zone, with very limited parking, I found them with not much to do but shoot the breeze, and me with a traveling camera to remember the times.
Taken with a Zeiss Contarex with a 55mm F1.4 Planar on Kodak Tri-X 135mm panchromatic film. The camera had a distinctive shutter noise, and it's no wonder I was noticed. Later when I changed to Leica, I moved to the quiet side.

The VW Beetle in the background was the common car of young people with parts available everywhere. It was a whole mechanical industry. I had a few and I choose the vans for many years.
