The silence of the junk yard was broken by the arrival of a van, and then the grunting and complaining of a couple of dark-clad men as they dragged the unconscious body of a large, muscular man into the depths of the yard.

Sweating and panting, they dragged the body of their victim into the back of a rusty jalopy. Getting their breath back, they admired their handiwork. The man in charge, the chief, rubbed his hands. "Right, gents, let's finish the job. Gerald, you operate the crane; Marcus, you sort out the crusher."

"Couldn't we just shoot him?" asked the goon named Gerald.

"Sending a message," said the chief. "Do I have to do the crane myself?" Gerald shrugged and set off for the control cab. The chief looked at the figure of Bulldog, gassed into unconsciousness and blissfully unaware of the horrible fate that awaited him. This was the part where he got a real feeling of job satisfaction.
