Description
Despite his short time as an agent, Boxer was getting used to the narrow escapes from death. Still, it felt good to have a week's recovery from his last escapade. After a particularly gruelling workout, he headed for his car. Throwing his kit in the back, he fastened the belt and pressed the starter.Nothing happened, except the doors locking with a thunk. He pressed the starter again. With a soft hiss, gas started to flow from the vents on the dash. Boxer held his breath as the gas rapidly started to fill the small interior, grabbing at the door handle. It wouldn't budge. The gas kept flowing, and he could feel it forcing its way into his nose, tickling his throat, making him cough, drawing in the insidious fumes.
Head swimming, eyes blurry, Boxer was aware of a distorted shape through the windscreen. He thought 'recovery truck' but then the shapes dissolved, the dashboard in front of him faded away and with a gentle sigh, his head fell onto his chest.
The car was towed away, its unconscious owner at the wheel.
