Mark was walking at night in a park in his town. He was a bit of a loner and was a bit down this particular evening. As he mused about his lot in life he saw a shooting star 🌠. He decided to make a wish "I hope to have a happy family someday" he actually said out loud.

Suddenly he noticed the shooting star turn around. Mark thought this was odd. Then it appeared to be headed downward , downward towards him. "What the.." is all he could say before it appeared the star exploded in a burst of light. It blinded Mark and he felt odd like he was being transported.

As his vision came back he was in a strange house and a guy with camera was opposite him saying " Oops, sorry Emily, didn't mean to have the flash on. Now lets get another profile shot of your bump with our future daughter"

Mark became aware of the weight in front of him. He saw a mirror and the reflection was that of a pregnant woman and the wedding ring on his now feminine hand . The guy the says. "Ok Emily, look here and smile" Mark forced a smile as the picture was taken.

The door bell rang and Mark went and opened the door. He was shocked it was his mother Margaret and his sister Kathy. "How are you and my future granddaughter doing today?" as Margaret hugged Mark. His sister Kathy put her hand on Mark’s baby bump and playfully said "Hi Emma, Aunt Kathy is here" as she gave Mark a sisterly hug.

Margaret hugged the guy asking " Ryan, will you hold up ok while we take Emily to her baby shower?" He smiled and said he would managed.

Somehow Mark’s life was rewritten by that exploding star. Now a pregnant woman and married. Looks like in a month or two Mark will have an instant faimly he wished for.
