“Cicero,” he began. “I…” For a moment bravado failed him, and he fell into silence. So many of his hopes and dreams rested on the next few minutes that it was hard to continue. With one final breathe of prayer to the lady Delaine, he came out with it. “Cicero, I am absolutely, completely and out of my mind in love with you. You are the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning, the last thought to leave my head at night. You are my stars, my moon, my sun and my sky. When I see you my heart stutters and my legs go weak.” Running out of words he shifted uncomfortably, waiting for her reaction.
As he was speaking Cicero’s thoughts were in a whirl. Was this really happening or was she still caught in coma-induced dream? Surely it was too good to be true. The stallion she had loved from afar for so long not only returned her ardour, but was admitting how he felt.
“I… I love you too Warwick.” Euphoria swamped her, making her giddy. Unable to control herself, she threw herself at him, her excitement knocking the pair of them tumbling over. His body trapped under hers, Warwick couldn’t stop himself breaking into laughter. Happiness and love had knocked his world askew and right now he didn’t want it righted, not for all the gold and silver in the land. This was it, not only the answer to all those silenced dreams, but the answer to all the questions of his future.

This happens a just after the story finishes. The rain is starting to fall, and Warwick and Cicero are cuddled up together and oblivious to it .

The sky is very different to how I was planning on doing it, but I liked so much I had to keep it. The paleness of the far horizon against the slope makes me think of old paintings in galleries . I lowered the saturation of Warwick, Cicero and the grass to fit it.
Speaking of the grass, I'm so, so, so proud of the fact I did it all by myself . For the first time ever I haven't used the Photoshop default brush . It too sooooo long, but I feel pretty accomplished after doing it . The left side of the slope is really dark as that's where the fire was, so the grass is all charred and covered in ash. I did have a big plume of smoke, but it didn't show up very well against the sky so I left it out.
I stayed up to the small hours of last night colouring the two unicorns, I just got so wrapped up in it I didn't noticed the time . I love Warwick's pose, but I'm not as convinced by Cicero. Her left front leg looks a bit short, but it's not as bad now the bottom is partly obscured by grass. It is a slightly awkward pose, but I had to follow my story.
