Space Art is one of the reasons why I'm here on DeviantArt... When I discovered the site, a few years ago, I was in my <3 <3 SPAAAAAAACE phase. And there were (still are!) so many great artists who painted amazing science-fiction scenes... But I didn't create an account, because I convinced myself that looking at the site once in a while was enough to notice those artists. I was a fool (still am!
), but that's not the topic.I never dared to paint space scenes, because I knew that it would take a lot of time, and I had so many other ideas to paint... A month or so ago, I learned of a contest by Space-Revived (link here ). A deadline was the motivation I needed... After a few weeks of studying astronomy pictures and painting ugly-looking nebulae, here's the result! Light and Dust, forever dancing in the sky

This is breathtaking! I love how at first glance, the 'dark' nebula looks malevolent, but upon closer look, it's actually lovingly caressing the light nebula while the two are dancing. Feel very romantic, magical, and mysterious at the same time.
I always dig this kind of art. Balance between light and dark partnering with each other and dancing in the stars. So far, I have seen only two works on this website (the other being 'The Dance' by Anadia-Chan'). Would love to see more arts like this. Also, may I ask for permission to share this on my Facebook?

I also love this kind of paintings, and Anadia-Chan's is nice... But even though I'm glad you saw in this picture the beauty I was trying to convey, I painted it about two years ago, and I now see a lot of details that desperately need improvement... I hope I'll find the time and motivation to rework it ^^

Thank you, I guess? This was one of these rare works that just... flowed, as if drawing them that way was the only thing I could do. And even though it's far from perfect in terms of composition, I enjoyed the drawing process a lot.

Quand j'ai vu la vignette dans ta galerie je me suis dit "Il FAUT que je vois cette création en taille réelle". Et j'ai bien fait. Je ne trouve pas les mots pour décrire ce que je ressens quand je la vois, il y a tellement de sentiments différents qui s'en dégage! La majesté, la magnificence de la lumière en face de l'obscurité, d'une beauté différente, puissante c'est tout simplement magique. J'aime beaucoup la façon dans laquelle les formes se fondent dans le décor c'est époustouflant *-* Et ces formes semblent tellement vivantes!
Un vrai coup de coeur pour moi, félicitations pour ton travail!

Je suis très heureuse que mon dessin ait su t'émouvoir, c'est le plus beau de tous les compliments ! J'essayais de retranscrire l'émerveillement que m'inspire le ciel étoilé, celui qu'on voit loin des lumières de la ville ou que dévoilent des photos prises au télescope... Tes mots décrivent exactement ce sentiment, mieux que je n'aurais su le faire si j'avais ajouté une description à mon image. Cette majesté, cette beauté éternelle, c'est ce que je voulais transmettre, alors merci du fond du cœur !
