Description Assignment: Create a realistic scene, focusing on textures, lighting, rendering and post. Worked on it for the past 3 weeks, in between classes.
Programs used: Maya 2011, Photoshop CS4, Fusion 6

Ahhh this is lovely! Though, would you mind a little amateur advice from me? x) I think that it still looks a little CG because it is missing randomness in the textures- such as scratches, dust, cracks, pebbles and debris, the various 'imperfections' of life. My instructor taught me that when something looks uniform in 3D (like the brick walls), it automatically lacks the super-realistic appeal. But hey, keep up the good work, I can't even bring myself to texture to such detail most of the time, because I get lazy so fast LOL sob ;;;;

Yep, you're totally right. This was my first ever big assignment though, and we only had 3 weeks. And it's over a year ago now, so I'm not going back to it, but I'll definitely make note of it.
