Description
Doctor Augustine Fotheringay-Phipps (stole that name from Jeeves), my steampunk character. (Who hates being called Gus or Gussie. Mostly he's just called 'doctor'.) He designed and planned the submarine, and the underwater city about to be built. Somewhat of a genius, visionary inventor, and a good man, but absolutely horrendous when it comes to relationships.

I decided I wanted a redhead character. And then because it's AU 1700s, he has long hair. Loosely based on Rufus Wainwright. Drawing to prove to myself that I can do detailed portraits without specific reference. Also trying to make sure I have texture in my portraits, and trying to improve at drawing hair. It's a bitch, and it's not much better. But I'm still rather fond of this drawing, for now.
