When I was a kid, I really loved the Animorph books. Like...REALLY loved them. They got me through a really rough period of my life; I got my first one for my 10th birthday, and the last one came out about a week before I graduated "middle school." Buuut the ending was so traumatic that I read the last book and never touched them again until right after Christmas, when I picked one up just to see if they were still good.I read 45 of them in two weeks while working a full-time job.
I hadn't even realized until I started rereading the books how much I MISSED these characters. Holy crap. It was great to "see" them again. My renewed fervor meant I HAD to do some sort of fanart, so there you are.
On the subject of the art itself, can I just say HAWKS HOLY SHIT. I think Tobias was the single most difficult thing I've ever successfully drawn (damn him for being my favorite meaning I couldn't slack!). Also my excuse for the outfits is that Rachel coordinated them or something. Jake also initially had on khakis and a red tie, but upon reflection I changed them both to blue. I figured it cut down on the "After I fry some Yeerks, I think I'll go unlawfully execute a few criminals" vibe.

Also, I've read about how Ani-fans sold and threw away their books? I'm proud to say that I still have mine, and refuse to give them up till the day I die. [Books are precious, you know.]

Haha, well, having reread my old books I've been thoroughly re-hooked, so I'll definitely be drawing Animorph stuff (although maybe not big full-color stuff). I still have every last animorph-related book they printed (#15 is missing the first few pages though because I read it too much. D: ). I just hope this movie idea wouldn't come out as terrible as the tv show did.
